New features in Spring 2.1
Spring 2.0 introduced bean definitions based on XML schema as well as AspectJ integration and support for the Java Persistence API (JPA). Spring 2.1 builds on that established foundation, providing further special-purpose configuration namespaces, extended annotation support, closer integration with AspectJ, and support for JCA 1.5 connectors. Spring 2.1 also explicitly supports Java 6, Java EE 5, and OSGi environments. This talk introduces the noteworthy features in Spring 2.1, highlighting the new facilities as well as discussing refinements in the established Spring APIs.
